Who are Moderat? Moderat are Modeselektor and Apparat. Moderat's formation began back in 2002 when Sascha Ring (aka Apparat) and Gernot Bronsert and Sebastian Szary (aka Modeselektor) who got together to record an EP on BPitch Control and then went their separate ways when it was time to record an album.
They have just announced they are back with a debut album, ‘Moderat’ which will come out April 20th, with Modeselektor's visual buddies Pfadfinderei providing music videos and more exclusive content for a planned DVD release of the album. All this will be followed touring from the end of April until September. If Modeselekor’s own material is anything to go by, this is one to watch.
