Paddys Revenge for a start is a poor name for a track, you know it is going to be pure tripe before you even listen to it but don't just leave it at that put together a half arsed video with a leprochorn, 5 women doing an irish jig and you are to a right humdinger. This is the kind of track that is targetted for kiddies who like playing annoying ringtones while on the bus or adults who still rush to the dance floor with there arms in the air when a Bon Jovi track comes on in there favourite retro disco.

There is no good points about the track, it makes a mockery of Irish music with its over use of filtering to make it sound like a dance track. Take out the filter and you are left with a run of the mill Irish tune that can heard in main traditional pubs up and down the country. According to Steve Macs Wiki “Mac has been associated with a total of 136 worldwide Top 40 singles and albums and 50 of those went to No1.” So it would seem that Mac has a lot of pulling power to get even the duffest of tracks in the charts.

Steve Mac gets a big BOO from me.
